Biosporos' seeds are only varieties. No hybrid seed is commercialized by Biosporos and nor GM seeds.  All are from organic certified farms and in Greece they are controlled and certified by TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas and "Oxygen cert".

Since 2004 Biosporos company has been dealing with organic seeds, mainly vegetables and aromatic plants, which was a pioneering thing for that time and even today it is very advanced in Greece. Organic seeds are called those that are propagated in certified organic farms by the method of organic farming. Organic farming in plant production is based on the use of organic seeds and organic propagating material, according to Reg. 2092/91. This made organic seeds available for those who wanted to use them in Greece, thanks to a catalogue of organic seeds that has over 100 varieties of vegetables and 15 aromatic plants. An important feature of the organic seeds marketed by Biosporos is that they are all open pollinated varieties and no hybrids are included. Thus, each user has the freedom to reproduce seed on their own and get the same variety again. A big difference with conventional seeds is that organic seeds are not coated with chemical drugs, which are also detected in the fynodia, and prevent the root from symbiosis with important microbes (mycorrhizae and bacteria) that improve plant health. Also, organic seeds are usually more disease resistant and require less plant protection and fertilization (even if organic). When organic farming is also done with organic seed it has the potential for results very high in taste and nutritional quality of the produce, along with a satisfactory yield. The basic philosophy of the Biosporos enterprise is non-mutated plants (in organic farming the use of mutated organisms is prohibited), and the use of old varieties or new varieties derived from classical genetic improvement, based on crossbreeding and selection. The aim of Biosporos is the quality of the food that reaches the consumer's plate, the quality of life of farmers and the protection of the environment. Its means are its expertise in organic fertilization (either in conventional or organic farming) and the supply of high quality and high yield agricultural inputs to the Greek market.
