Lycopersicon lycopersicum (L.) Karsten ex Farw (synonimus Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.)
Table variety of tomato medium early and half climbing. Good for outdoor cultivation without any pruning (self-joining). It is cultivated with the help of two lines of poles and wires that support the foliage. Or else it is cultivated with pruning and support in the greenhouse. Tomato with medium-sized fruits (9-10 cm diameter, about 200gr.), round and very productive. Good for sauces too. In Crete they cultivated this variety in the winter, by seeding in July, transplanting at the beginning of September and harvesting until the next March - April. Resistant to Verticillium and Fusarium diseases.
Sowing: From January in warm nursery for the greenhouse cultivation, transplanting from March to April in the field. Distances: 70 x 40 cm to 100 x 60 cm between the plants in the field.
